   Here's the place where creativity meets reality.....the Studio. Some call it the Lab because this is also where we mix all sorts of  sounds like mad scientists and never know what's going to happen next. The studio started out in 1987 with mainly a pair of turntables, sampler, 808 drum machine, and a 4-track analog recorder . Today we are fully digital with the capability of recording over 400 tracks to a single song. We also have updated our studio toys while waiting on the construction of our new facility to be completed.    We also use Digidesign ProTools operating software for all editing and mastering of our tracks.  ProTools is the music industry's standard  format, so for this reason, we've also purchased all the hottest TDM plug-ins for ProTools such as Waves Platinum & Diamond processor bundles. We also have Cubase, Sound Forge, T-Racks, E-magic, and many other editing and mastering abilities at our fingertips to be compatible with incoming projects.
 

   

 

  There's too many little toys to mention here so to make a long list short.......there's no sound that we can't handle. On second thought............we don't have the set-up for a 50 piece orchestra ensemble, but we don't plan on signing a whole symphony to our label either. If the need did arise we will adapt to the occasion .  

 

OUR SERVICES
   Our studio works in two main functions. As a commercial facility, we are open to the general public for any recording needs. We have recorded custom soundtracks for talent shows, fashion shows, exotic dancers, radio ads, etc.  As a private studio we specialize in giving our artists custom composed soundtracks for their songs to be published on the Izmi-Mikon record label.  

Professional Processors

  Unless you're an engineer or producer, you may not be aware of all the after-touches that can be applied to enhance the sound of your music and vocals before being mastered. Maybe you've been in the studio before and watched all of the tweaking that goes on and see all of the gadgets in the racks and on a computer screen. If so, you've probably wondered if all of that equipment was necessary?

    The answer is...yes! We have many audio processors for all enhancements or sound quality issues. 

 

    Most all tracks need some type of compression or limiting, while others need more punch and warmth added to them. We have purchased an extensive collection of processors both out-board gear and also internal plug ins for professional processing and mastering of tracks. The list is too long to name here, but we have  top of the line gear for pro-results.      

 

 

SOUNDTRACKS
   One of our most important tools:    ... our sound library. We have access to millions of sounds that can be loaded as an instrument and played likewise. We can even take a single note from a movie and edit the sound and make a new musical instrument that has never been heard before. That's why we say......"Any thing that has sound... we can work with." Our soundtracks can be mixed and edited in many ways. Some artists may have a song that is suitable for radio airplay, but may want another mix of that song to perform on stage live. So for this reason we are very versatile with our mixes.

 

 

Our Vintage Sound Library

    We also have thousands....and we do mean THOUSANDS of vintage sounds that can be taken from a wide selection of our vinyl library. Most people think of this as sampling someone's song and re-creating it. No, that's not how we use our library. We don't sample 30 seconds of a song....that can land you in a lot of sticky legal court battles.    

    We use our library by capturing a single note, like a hard to find sax riff, or maybe a hard snare, but we mostly use a vocal adlib. Once the sound is captured, we then can load it into one of our keyboards or other workstations. Then it can be played as a new instrument.........that's technology for you!

APPOINTMENTS & SESSIONS

    Sessions are set up on hourly blocks by appointments only. We like to give our clients and artists complete privacy when we are recording their work. Our time slots are very flexible because we sometimes operate normal business hours and on occasion we operate on night hours.
